UNDERCITY is a Pop Up - Fan Event planned for NYC in April! It is hosted by Basiltaztic and Voltrix.inc on instagram! The event is held under the group named IndieCity, a brand new event group that newly became a thing in Jan-Febuary 2026The event will have Art Vendors, A Cosplay Contest, Trivia Games and Raffles, and Photo Card Making!

Cosplay ContestBy 6pm, the venue will be clearing off the artists set up, and the lounge will be closed off. The venue will have more space and be more open, allowing people to enjoy the contest when it happens!DOORS CLOSE @6:30PM!

Frequently Asked Questions

What is INDIE CITY?
We are a small independent group hosting fan events for some of our favorite media! UNDERCITY is our first event, so please bear with us as we learn.
Is this a convention?
This is not a convention. UNDERCITY is a local art market similar to Sunny Day Market and Art Locker with extra events. While we're grateful for the excitement, the turnout was far larger than expected.
What is the venue called?
The venue is called Space Bushwick. The address is 839 Broadway, Brooklyn, NY 11206.
How do I get to the venue on public transport?
The J and M trains have stops at Flushing Ave and Myrtle Ave. Both are equal distance from the venue, so either works. You can also take the M to Myrtle Ave then the J to Flushing Ave as the M does not always go there on the weekends. Please keep in mind that the Flushing Ave stop is the only one with an elevator.
Are you able to book a second/larger venue?
We were able to secure The East 'Burg Suite as a second venue! The address is 115 Stanwix St, Brooklyn, NY 11206 and it'll be an official safe space to visit while you wait. This location is about a 9 minute walk from the main venue. A map is posted in the server with directions.
What will be in the second venue?
We will have various board games and art supplies available for attendees here. You may also use the space for pictures, however the main space has our official photographer. All vendors, food, and events will continue in Space Bushwick, our main venue. Entry only allowed if the main hall hits max capacity. Only open from 12pm-6pm.
How many bathrooms are there?
The main venue has three bathrooms: 2 for public use, 1 for vendors/staff. If absolutely needed, we can definitely let attendees use the restroom. The second venue also has one bathroom. Alternatively, GOT2GONYC.com has a map with info on local bathrooms.
Is it safe to be in cosplay outside? Are the any safe spaces to hang out at outside the venue?
While we encourage cosplay and note that NY has seen crazier things, if you as the cosplayer don't feel comfortable with the situation, we understand if you rather not. It's important to know what you're ok with doing, even if that means you don't get to cosplay. We'll provide a list of options to visit such as cafe's and parks, but please note that these places are not officially part of UNDERCITY. These are suggestions for your convenience and we encourage you to support the businesses you visit.
When is my time block?
If you signed up for the Morning Block, it starts at 11am - 2:30pm
If you signed up for the Afternoon Block, it starts at 2:30;m - 6pm
What do I do after my block is over?
We kindly ask that you head on out to give others the chance to have a good time! If you're in the Morning Block, you're welcome back in for the Cosplay Contest as long as you have your wristbands. And, if you wish to stay around, the second venue is open from 12pm-6pm!
Can I come back inside if I leave?
As long as you have your wristband and it's your time block, you are welcome back inside the venue!
Are the food and drinks free?
Upon arrival, you'll receive a ticket you can trade in for foods such as donuts, cookies, and sandwiches! This is included in your entrance fee, however there are limits to how much you can take. If you would like a proper meal, there are plenty of restaurants you can support in the area. Specialty themed drinks can be purchased inside the venue
What if I can't get in for the Cosplay Contest?
We do have to cap the number of people allowed in for the contest, but we will be livestreaming it on Instagram for those who want to watch!
I want a refund. How do I do that?
That's understandable! You have until April 16th to be issued a refund, so please do that as soon as possible. To receive a refund, forward the confirmation email to [email protected], and include the following info:

Will there be ticket sales at the door? Will you open online tickets again?
Unfortunately, no. We will not be selling anymore tickets due to the volume of people already attending. We appreciate your interest and hope you can make it to the next event
What if it rains?
The venue is indoors, however any lines formed are outdoors. Like any day, please check the weather and plan accordingly.
Why did you oversell tickets? What's the max capacity?This was a miscommunication between the hosts and the venue. The hosts were told 350 + 50 for the lounge area, however the official website says 150 total. Both are incorrect. After calling the venue and asking specifically, they confirmed the space can hold 175- 220 people max. This is why we have block scheduling to split the 400 or so people. We also recently added a second venue. To stay as safe as possible, we'll be keeping the max at 175."Will vendors have enough product for both blocks?
The vendors are aware of the blocks and are responsible for planning how much to bring. Just like any art market or convention, artists can run out of products due to demand no matter what day or time they sell. You can always ask for their online shops if they have them!
Do the vendors take Venmo/Zelle/Card?
This is up to the vendors themselves! Please plan to bring enough cash in the event they do not.
How do I sign up for a block with the early bird ticket?
Email undercitynyc@gmailmcom with the email you want the sign up link sent to + the confirmation details.
Is there any security for the event?
Security will be volunteer staff as this was meant to be a small event. Please listen to the volunteer staff like at any other event.
Why don't you cancel tickets?
We would like to avoid doing this as many people would be upset. The block system is our best option at the time to avoid over crowding and we hope people will be courteous of other attendees and allow them their time
Does the staff have any experience running an event like this?
We each have varying levels of experience with similar events, but this is our first time doing this together.

MAIN EVENTS

The artist alley will last from 11am - 7pm. Afterwards, the artist alley will close down to allow breakdown time and extra time for the vendors themselves to participate in the event!.Cosplayers will do a small display and showcase of their cosplay at the event! When doing so, they will be judged by Mx.Sour and Zan! Three Cosplayers will win, however only ONE will get the GRAND PRIZE!!!!MR.Tenna did one during the game, so why not have one here too? Don't worry, we wont trap you here for wanting to stop... Maybe. Players will hold a paddle with a number on it, raising it up once they know the answer! Whoever gets the most right will win a prize! There's a total of 4 rounds for this game.Don't you want to bring a piece of these lovely pixels around? Well now you can! Join us around 1-3pm and sit at the tables for photocard crafting. Each Lightner can get one photocard each for decorating!

RAFFLE

At 12:30pm, 2:30pm, 4:30pm and 5:30pm! Each Block will have two raffles each, and each attendee gets one two free entries! You can use both entries on one raffle, or use one entry for each raffle.Want a better chance at getting the prize? You can buy extra raffle tickets for $2!
